Dumpsters

The City of Council Bluffs is seeking bids for dumpster services from qualified and insured companies. The contract will be for 36 months, with the possibility of extension for three additional one-year periods. The successful bidder will be required to provide all necessary personnel, supervision, materials, and equipment, and prices should reflect this. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, and to waive technicalities and formalities in bids. Some key points to note include: • The contract will be administered and overseen by an authorized designee of the Public Works Department. • The City has the right to extend the contract for three additional one-year periods, with a 3% increase in bid rates for each year. • The successful bidder will be required to submit proposed terms for the extension 90 days prior to the date of termination. • The City reserves the right to terminate the contract at any time, with or without cause, upon 30 days' written notice. • The successful bidder will be required to furnish payment and performance bonds, each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price. • The City has a "No Gift" standard, which prohibits suppliers from offering gifts or favors to City employees.
