The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) seeks a qualified small‑business contractor to perform heavy mineral separation on rock and sediment samples for in‑situ geochronology and isotope tracer studies. The work involves receiving samples, processing them using electro‑pulse disaggregation and density/magnetic separation techniques, labeling and returning mineral separates, and delivering detailed spreadsheet reports of methods and results.
