The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) is seeking vendors to provide specialized equipment, parts, and services for its transportation and roadway telecommunications, intelligent traffic systems (ITS), and integrated project control systems (IPCS). The contract will be for an initial duration of up to 5 years, with two options to renew for up to 3 years each, for a total maximum contract duration of up to 11 years. Vendors must provide equipment, parts, and services for the systems in place, as well as replacement systems potentially needed in future years. The estimated value of the contract is $3.25 million over the life of the potential award, including renewals. Key considerations include: • Equipment needs and services, including telecommunications/ITS/IPCS equipment parts, operating supplies, and maintenance and repair of equipment • Consulting and design services, including telecommunications engineering and consulting services, ITS engineering and consulting services, and IPCS engineering and consulting services • Vendor must provide a Vendor Account Manager to oversee contract performance and respond to MassDOT inquiries in a timely manner • Vendors must maintain insurance coverage, including commercial general liability, automobile liability, workers’ compensation, and umbrella insurance • Vendors must comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and MassDOT policies and procedures.
