Description

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is conducting a Market Survey to gather information from industry regarding the procurement of Critical Incident Response Initial Training (CIRP) and Recurrent Training. The training will be provided to FAA Flight Test Pilots, Flight Test Engineers, and Accident Investigators. The contractor will be required to provide initial and recurrent ground school and flight training. The FAA estimates that four classes will be held annually, with each class providing approximately 24 hours of instruction. The class size should not exceed 20 students. The contractor must provide evidence of an approved training program, proof of ownership of the aircraft and/or full flight simulator, and a description of the availability of training aids and facilities. Some key points to consider: * The FAA is seeking a firm-fixed-price contract with a base year and four option years. * The contractor must provide training at the Mike Moroney Aeronautical Center in Oklahoma City. * The contractor must have experience in providing similar training services. * The contractor must have the necessary resources, including aircraft and/or full flight simulators, to provide the training. * The contractor must be able to provide training to a maximum of 20 students per class.

Budget estimate

$500,000 – $2,000,000

The document does not provide a specific budget amount, but it mentions that the contract will be a firm-fixed-price contract. Based on the scope of work, which includes providing initial and recurrent ground school and flight training to FAA personnel, the budget amount could be significant. The FAA estimates that four classes will be held annually, with each class providing approximately 24 hours of instruction. The contractor will also be required to provide travel and other expenses. A rough estimate of the budget amount could be in the range of $500,000 to $2 million per year, depending on the number of students, the location of the training, and other factors. However, this is a very rough estimate and the actual budget amount could be higher or lower.
