Wyoming Surface Water Quality Standards - National Assessment of State Drinking Water Designed Uses

The State of Wyoming is seeking a contractor to conduct a comprehensive and objective national assessment of how states develop drinking water designated uses and associated subcategories. The assessment will characterize the methodologies and data used to assign these uses to surface waters, including relevant technical and legal considerations, and the rationale for the water quality criteria protective of subcategories. The contractor will provide a report that synthesizes national practices among all 50 states, technical approaches, and legal considerations to inform the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality’s evaluation of potential drinking water designated use revisions. Key tasks include: • Project initiation and work plan • National assessment and state comparison matrix development • Draft report package • Final report package and project closeout The contractor will be required to have experience in water quality standards, drinking water designated uses, and state comparison matrix development.
