Wood Poles for Electric Services

The City of Ames is seeking quotes for wood poles for Electric Distribution inventory. The poles must meet applicable industry standards, including ANSI 05.1-2002 and the latest version of AWPA C1, C4, M1, T1, and UC4C. The poles shall be select southern yellow pine, properly cured and handled, and processed and pressure treated full length with DCOI. The City of Ames reserves the right to reject any or all bids and make awards as it deems to be in the best interest of the City. • The poles must meet ANSI standards for sweeps, bends, and crooks. • The poles must be branded with date, treatment, size, class, and type. • The poles must be shipped F.O.B. to Electric Distribution, 2208 Edison Street, Ames, IA 50010. • A minimum of one-year warranty against any manufacturing defect is required.
