Operate the Molokai Recycling Facility and Certified Redemption Center at the Molokai Landfill

The County of Maui is seeking a proposal to operate the Molokai Recycling Facility and Certified Redemption Center at the Molokai Landfill. The selected contractor will be responsible for managing and operating the facility, including receiving and processing recyclable materials, managing the certified redemption center, and providing public education on recycling and proper waste disposal. The contract term will be from the Notice to Proceed through June 30, 2029, with the option to extend for an additional 12 months. • The contractor will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the facility, including receiving and processing recyclable materials, managing the certified redemption center, and providing public education on recycling and proper waste disposal. • The contractor will be required to provide a detailed facility operations plan, including a proposed schedule of operations, manpower requirements, and procedures for operating the on-site certified redemption center. • The contractor will be responsible for maintaining the facility and equipment in good working order and ensuring that all personnel are properly trained and equipped to perform their duties. • The contractor will be required to provide a detailed safety plan, including measures to prevent accidents, natural disasters, and fires, and procedures for responding to emergencies. • The contractor will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and permits, including those related to environmental protection and worker safety.
