Biohazard Site Cleanup Services

The City of Palm Springs is seeking a qualified contractor to provide 24 × 7, on‑call biohazard remediation services for the Palm Springs Police Department and related facilities. The work includes crime‑scene, trauma‑scene, vehicle, jail‑cell, and other biohazard clean‑up, along with collection, transportation, and disposal of regulated medical waste in compliance with OSHA, Cal/OSHA, and EPA regulations. The contract will be awarded on a lowest‑price basis, runs for three years with two optional one‑year renewals, and uses a time‑and‑material pricing structure with unit rates submitted by the winning bidder. • Provide 24/7 on‑site biohazard clean‑up (crime scenes, traffic collisions, jail cells, police vehicles, etc.). • Supply all labor, PPE, equipment, waste containers, and disposal services; embed all costs in unit‑price bids. • Meet a 2‑hour emergency response requirement, hold required state and federal licenses, and pass background checks for personnel assigned to police sites.
