Road Tube for Traffic Counters

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is seeking bids for the provision of road tubes for traffic counters. The contract will be for an initial period of one year, with the option to extend for four additional one-year periods. The successful bidder will be required to provide road tubes that meet the specifications outlined in the solicitation, including compliance with ASTM D-2000 3BA 620 A14 C12 F17. The bidder with the lowest price will receive the maximum score, and the bidder with the best delivery time will also receive points. The contract will be awarded to the bidder that provides the best value to the Commonwealth. • The road tubes must be black extruded 100% EPDM rubber, with a specific size and material composition. • The tubes must be supplied in 100-foot coiled lengths, with a non-tacky and smooth outside surface. • The inside of the tubes must be clean, dry, non-sticky, and free of contaminants. • The material must comply with ASTM D-2000 3BA 620 A14 C12 F17, with specific properties such as tensile strength, elongation, and durometer. • The bidder must provide a certificate of compliance with the Buy America Act and the Build America, Buy America Act. • The bidder must also provide a non-collusion certification and a certification regarding artificial intelligence.
