Legal Services - Office of the Attorney General

The Office of the Attorney General (AGO) is seeking outside counsel to advise on matters related to rebate aggregators and pharmacy benefits managers. The selected counsel will be responsible for performing tasks such as investigation, negotiation, and litigation, as well as providing support to the AGO in court filings and service of court filings. The scope of representation will be negotiated between the selected Outside Counsel and the AGO. Key responsibilities may include: • Assist in investigation, negotiation, and litigation of potential claims against Aggregators and pharmacy benefit managers • Represent the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in any potential negotiated settlement of actual or potential litigation • Provide support to the AGO regarding local rules of practice, court filings, and service of court filings • Appear in court for status conferences or hearings • Take or defend depositions • Identify and assist in preparing witnesses to testify on behalf of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts • Represent the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in trial • Represent the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in responding to pretrial and post-trial motions
