The State of Iowa, through its Department of Administrative Services, is seeking a qualified design firm to provide professional architectural and engineering design services for the repair of the tunnel serving Wirth Hall at the Cherokee Mental Health Institute. The scope includes field inspection, structural analysis, repair design, cost estimating, coordination with utilities, production of construction documents, bid assistance, and construction administration through to project close‑out. • Perform on‑site investigations of the deteriorating tunnel, water infiltration, concrete joints, and a noted crack beneath the roadway. • Develop design‑development and construction‑document sets, including cost opinions at 100 % DD and 95 % CD stages, and provide support for contractor bidding and construction administration. • Deliver eight required design‑phase site or virtual visits, manage bi‑weekly coordination calls, and submit field observation reports within five days of each visit.
