Utility and Tunnel Rehabilitation – Shatzel to Moseley

The project entails comprehensive utility and tunnel rehabilitation between Shatzel Hall and Moseley Hall on the Bowling Green State University campus. The contractor will be responsible for demolition of existing tunnel structures, installation of new 8‑inch and 6‑inch waterlines, waterproofing, structural repairs, and restoration of sidewalks, pavement, and landscaping. The scope includes several optional alternates such as full‑height tunnel wall replacement, access hatch installations, expansion joint and valve upgrades, pavement resurfacing, and tunnel lighting. Four allowances for landscaping, irrigation, signage, and asbestos abatement are built into the base bid. The contract requires compliance with Ohio prevailing‑wage rules, EDGE‑program participation (5 % goal), and strict domestic‑steel usage.
