Description
The City of Kenai is seeking a qualified contractor to remove and replace two digester blowers, associated process piping, and all related equipment at the Kenai Wastewater Treatment Facility. The work includes demolition of existing structures, construction of a new engineered steel blower building, installation of two 100‑HP APG‑Neuros turbo blowers with local control panels, variable‑frequency drives, instrumentation, and full commissioning. The project is funded by an EPA grant and carries American Iron & Steel (AIS) requirements, Davis‑Bacon wage rules, and DBE compliance obligations.
• Scope: Demolition, new steel building, two high‑speed turbo blowers, control panels, VFDs, instrumentation, and associated civil, mechanical, electrical, and structural work.
• Schedule: Pre‑bid on April 9 2025, questions due April 21 2025, bid due April 29 2025, anticipated award May 22 2025, substantial completion by Dec 15 2025, final completion Jan 15 2026.
• Requirements: Alaska contractor licensing, bid bond (5 % if bid > $100k), performance & payment bonds, insurance, AIS compliance, DBE statement, certified payroll, and adherence to EPA grant conditions.
