HSC 3rd Floor STEPS Lab Expansion

West Virginia University is seeking a qualified contractor to provide all materials, installation, tools, equipment, and labor required to renovate and upgrade the third‑floor STEPS Laboratory within the Health Sciences Center in Morgantown, WV. The scope includes selective demolition, structural concrete work, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire‑sprinkler upgrades, interior wall and ceiling systems, specialty finishes, doors and hardware, and installation of immersive laboratory technology systems. The project must meet university safety, environmental, and drug‑free workplace requirements, and adhere to tight completion dates with liquidated damages for delays. • Renovate ~5,600 SF of laboratory space, including demolition, concrete repairs, new metal‑stud partitions, acoustic ceilings, and specialty flooring. • Install 3B Scientific Immersive Interactive Systems and Elevate Healthcare LearningSpace Systems (or approved equivalents) with full integration of MEP and IT infrastructure. • Deliver the project by May 28, 2027 (final completion) with substantial completion required by May 7, 2027; liquidated damages of $500/day (substantial) and $1,000/day (final) apply.
