Grandparents & Other Relatives as Parents Caregiver Program (GORP)

The Grandparents & Other Relatives as Parents (GORP) Caregiver Program is seeking a provider to deliver education, support, resources, and skill building opportunities for caregivers who are grandparents and other relatives as parents. The program aims to stabilize caregiver households, reduce caregiver stress, and improve caregiver knowledge and access to supportive resources. The provider will be responsible for providing services such as support groups, education, and resource navigation, and will be required to maintain partnerships with community organizations and referral partners. The contract term is one year with an option to renew for four additional one-year periods. Some key aspects of the program include: * Providing caregiver support activities including education, peer support, resource navigation, and connection to community services * Serving grandparents and other relatives age 60+ who are primary caregivers of a relative’s child under 19, and grandparents/relatives age 55+ providing care to a disabled adult child (age 19–59) who is not their own child * Maintaining partnerships with community agencies and referral partners * Providing information, assistance, and access to services for caregivers * Organizing and facilitating monthly support groups (virtual or in-person) * Offering caregiver coaching as appropriate * Connecting caregivers to additional supports when needed * Maintaining accurate records and providing timely reporting and documentation for Area Agency on Aging (AAA) oversight and Older Americans Act (OAA) compliance.
