RFI 20262041 Executive Recruitment Consultant for Public Works Director

The City of Eugene is requesting Letters of Interest and pricing information from contractors that provide executive search/recruitment consultant services for Public Works Director. The City wishes to compile information about suppliers who can provide these services and establish a budget. The selected firm will partner with the organization to design and execute a comprehensive national search that attracts a diverse, high-caliber pool of candidates with strong technical, operational, and leadership capabilities. Key aspects of the job include: • Developing a candidate profile using information from City staff and feedback received from stakeholder meetings • Developing and administering a nationwide search for applicants • Collecting and administering all resumes and other applicable documents from candidates • Conducting in-depth reviews of candidates’ credentials using criteria established from stakeholder meetings and leadership input • Selecting the most qualified candidates for consideration • Collaborating with City staff on interview strategies, techniques, and questions as needed • Arranging for and/or conducting finalist(s) professional background investigations • Assisting with employment negotiations if requested or as deemed necessary
