OWYHEE DESERT HERBICIDE WEED TREATMENT

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is seeking a contractor to perform herbicide weed treatment in the Owyhee Desert. The treatment area consists of 4247 acres, with the primary target species being Russian thistle, Scotch thistle, and hoary cress. The contractor will be required to apply the spray solution using properly maintained and calibrated equipment, and controlling drift will be the responsibility of the applicator. The project is expected to take place between June 2nd and July 18th, and the contractor must be available during this period. • The treatment area includes 4220 acres of upland and 27 acres with potential water presence. • The contractor must provide a list of chemicals intended for use with their bid package. • The contractor must apply the spray solution in accordance with the specified rates of application. • The contractor must maintain buffers for non-aquatically formulated herbicides when applying near water.
