Leadership Development and Strategic Communications Support

The County of Maui is seeking a consultant to provide leadership development and strategic communications support to the Maui Police Department. The scope of work includes designing and facilitating a leadership development series, providing crisis communications support, and supporting internal and external communications. The contract will be for 12 months, with the option to extend for up to three years. The County is looking for a consultant with experience in providing similar services, a strong understanding of the Maui community, and the ability to work collaboratively with department leadership. • The consultant will be responsible for designing and facilitating a multi-session leadership development series for department personnel. • The consultant will provide facilitation, coordination, and strategic guidance for each session in collaboration with designated department leadership. • The consultant will provide on-call strategic communications counsel during emerging or critical situations. • The consultant will support internal and external communications to ensure consistency, clarity, and public confidence. • The consultant will provide ongoing guidance on internal and external messaging related to department initiatives, leadership development, and community engagement.
