RFP-Urban Planning and Design Consulting Services Addendum 1

The I‑195 Redevelopment District is seeking a consulting firm to provide comprehensive urban planning and design services for the ongoing redevelopment of the former I‑195 highway corridor. The work will support public engagement, design‑review advisory, land‑use regulation updates, parking analyses, development test‑fits, and furnishings selection, among other planning initiatives. The District will award a new contract after the June 5 2026 proposal deadline and may negotiate fee structures with the selected respondent. • Public engagement: meetings, presentations, stakeholder outreach. • Design review & advisory: evaluate developer proposals, advise on architectural and landscape design, serve on a design‑review panel (University architect, practicing architect, landscape architect). • Planning studies: parking analysis, test‑fit studies, land‑use regulation updates, furniture selection. • Fee proposal must include hourly rates, overhead, flat‑fee options, and disclose any mark‑ups; the District may negotiate lower rates. • Consultants cannot simultaneously act as developers within the District while serving as the District’s consultant.
