Notification of Disciplinary Policies and Procedures Pursuant to SB 12 and SB571

This is a mandatory compliance notification from Hurst‑Euless‑Bedford ISD to all current and prospective vendors. The notice informs contractors that Texas Senate Bills 12 and 571, effective September 1 2025, prohibit the assignment of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) duties to district employees, contractors, or volunteers unless required by law. Vendors must acknowledge receipt, review the linked Board Policies (DF and EMB), and submit the required certification/affidavit forms (SB 12 Compliance Form and SB 571 Certification Form) by the response deadline. • Mandatory acknowledgment and submission of two compliance forms (SB 12 and SB 571) by 30 Sept 2026. • No new work scope is defined; the requirement is purely regulatory compliance for existing or future contracts. • Failure to comply may result in disciplinary action, including termination of the vendor relationship. • Forms are downloadable from the “Attachments” tab; completed forms must be uploaded as a response to this notice. • Contact for questions and submission is the District’s Director of Purchasing, Gary Kerbow.
