Wood Poles for Electric Services

The City of Ames is seeking quotes for wood poles for Electric Distribution inventory. The poles must meet applicable industry standards, including ANSI 05.1-2002 and the latest version of AWPA C1, C4, M1, T1, and UC4C (Extreme Duty) per requirements of AWPA U1. The poles shall be select southern yellow pine, properly cured and handled preceding treatment to prevent decay or deterioration. • The poles must meet specific material and sizing requirements. • The poles must be processed and pressure treated with DCOI meeting the requirements of APWA P39. • The poles must be manufactured in conformance with Wood Quality Control Inc.'s quality assurance program and branded “WQC.” • The poles must be shipped F.O.B., Electric Distribution, 2208 Edison Street, Ames, IA 50010 unless otherwise specified.
