Insurance Brokerage Services

The Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide insurance brokerage services. The selected firm will be responsible for providing a full range of services related to VTA's insurance and risk management program, including developing a proactive management approach to identifying, quantifying, and protecting VTA's assets. The firm will also provide customer service, process information and claims, and provide analytical and benchmark evidence for all programs purchased or implemented. The contract will have a term of three years with two one-year options for a maximum term of five years. • The scope of work includes marketing and negotiating insurance coverage, providing insurance consultative/advisor services, and performing other related tasks. • The proposer must possess current licenses in the following classifications: Property and Casualty Broker-Agent, Surplus Line Broker, and Reinsurance Intermediary-Broker/Intermediary-Manager (preferred). • The proposer must provide a Certificate of Reported Compliance with the Regulation for In-Use Off-Road Diesel-Fueled Fleets. • The proposer must meet the contract goal for Small Business Enterprise (SBE) participation.
