NAEMT TACTICAL EMERGENCY CASUALTY CARE (TECC) COURSE

The City of Charlottesville Fire Department seeks a qualified NAEMT‑authorized instructor to deliver three separate NAEMT Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC) courses. Each 16‑hour, two‑day session will train 21 participants (total 63 students) and must be completed by June 30 2027. The contractor must provide all course materials, consumable medical training supplies, and any travel‑related expenses, while the City supplies classroom space, tables, chairs, and audiovisual equipment. Successful completion awards each participant a 4‑year NAEMT TECC Provider Card and a certificate of completion. • 3 sessions, each 16 hours (2 days) for 21 students per session (63 total) • Instructor must be NAEMT‑authorized to teach TECC and maintain credentials throughout the contract • Course content includes hemorrhage control, airway management, shock, trauma, evacuation, and scenario‑based drills • Contractor provides all training supplies (tourniquets, chest seals, airway kits, etc.) and covers lodging, meals, and travel per session • Training must be finished by 30 June 2027; quotes due 11 Sept 2026, 2 PM • Award will go to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder; contract subject to standard City of Charlottesville terms and insurance requirements.
