The City of Tacoma is seeking a qualified Master‑level Licensed Clinical Social Worker to serve as the Practicum Program Advisor for the Tacoma Fire Department CARES Social‑Work Practicum. The advisor will supervise social‑work students, develop program components, provide direct client resource consultation, and act as a liaison between the fire department, university, and community partners. The contract is a one‑year term, renewable for up to two additional one‑year extensions, with an estimated budget of $25,000 for the base year. • Supervise and mentor social‑work practicum students (weekly group and one‑on‑one supervision). • Develop and improve practicum learning opportunities and coordinate with fire‑department staff. • Provide resource consultation on aging, homelessness, mental health, and substance‑use issues; maintain community partnerships. • Ensure compliance with Washington licensing (LCSW, approved supervisor) and city‑specific responsibilities (insurance, UBI, workers’ comp, etc.). • Submit a bid package (signature page, price proposal, certificates of insurance) electronically or in‑person by the May 29 deadline.
