Description

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is soliciting applications to access limited identifiable data or biospecimens from the Environmental influences on Child Health Outcomes (ECHO) Cohort to study high-priority areas of maternal and child health. The ECHO Cohort's dataset integrates longitudinal data from over 130,000 maternal and child participants across the U.S., including prenatal and child environmental exposures and five primary pediatric outcome areas. The ECHO Cohort Biorepository includes over 100,000 biospecimen samples. • Study high-priority areas of maternal and child health • Investigate exposures, including natural and built environments, physical, chemical, social, behavioral, and biological factors • Explore outcomes, including pre-, peri-, and postnatal outcomes, upper and lower airway outcomes, obesity, neurodevelopment, and positive health or well-being • Elucidate pathways linking these exposures and outcomes

Budget estimate

$200,000 – $1,000,000

Given that the opportunity involves accessing data and biospecimens from the ECHO Cohort, the budget is likely in the form of a grant. The estimated budget range can be based on typical NIH grant awards, which can vary widely depending on the specific project and scope of work. A rough estimate for this type of grant could be between $200,000 and $1,000,000, considering the complexity and scope of the research involved.
