Upfit of Cargo Van for Animal Transport

The City of Cedar Rapids Fleet Services Division is seeking bids for the upfit of a cargo van for animal transport. The van will be used to transport animals and will require various modifications, including the installation of animal cages, insulation, and ventilation systems. The successful bidder will be required to provide a fully functional and safe vehicle for animal transport. The key features of the upfit include: * Interior walls and ceiling sprayed with two-component polyurethane fire-rated foam insulation * ½” insulation board on the floor to reduce exhaust system heat transfer and road noise * Diamond plate aluminum on the floor and smooth aluminum covering the ceiling and passenger side wall of the animal area * Animal compartments with 22-gauge polished stainless steel cages, sloped floors, and polyurethane foam insulation for sound deadening and decreased heat transfer * Adjustable vents to control air flow in each cage * A digital readout thermometer to monitor temperatures in the animal compartment * A polycarbonate viewing window to allow constant visual monitoring of the transported animals * A bulkhead storage compartment and catch pole holder The bidder must provide a full set of as-built CAD drawings prior to award and identify the full factory standard warranty.
