The National Park Service is seeking information from interested contractors for the rehabilitation of Chalmette National Cemetery at Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and Preserve in Louisiana. The project aims to repair, stabilize, and preserve the cemetery's historic landscape and contributing features. The scope of work includes cleaning and realigning grave markers, conserving monuments and historic features, rehabilitating gates and perimeter walls, improving stormwater management, and restoring historic plantings and cultural landscape features. The project will be performed within the boundaries of the park and in accordance with National Park Service standards for historic preservation.
