HVAC Water Treatment Bid

The Boone County Board of Education is seeking a contractor to provide a water treatment program for its facilities. The program should include services and materials to maintain the district's boilers, cooling towers, and geothermal loops. The contractor will be responsible for providing individual craft-related tools and instruments as necessary to complete assigned work. The scope of work includes treating, inspecting, testing, and providing reports required by law, as well as providing all chemicals needed to maintain proper chemical levels in the boiler water, cooling tower water, and geothermal loops. • The contractor shall provide a corrosion inhibitor and compatible with all existing equipment. • The water treatment shall also prevent/eliminate any bacteria that are deemed harmful to the system or individuals. • The contractor shall perform in-school testing services and train and consult with HVAC technicians. • The contractor shall meet with state and/or insurance boiler inspectors when the boilers are open for inspections. • The cooling tower water treatment shall include a micro-biocide, EPA registered and environmentally friendly, contain a corrosion inhibitor and scale inhibitor, and total dissolved solid (TDS) control for proper PH levels. • The geothermal loop water treatment shall include a corrosion inhibitor. • The contractor shall provide detailed reports from each site visit on current conditions of systems and materials and chemicals used during each visit. • The contractor shall coordinate site visit through the Facility Management Dept before each visit.
