Snow Removal - Motor Grader Services

The City of Lincoln is seeking bids from contractors to provide snow removal services using motor graders. The contractor will be responsible for furnishing motor graders and operators for the purpose of snow removal from City streets during the winter season. The contract will be for a one-year term with the option to renew for up to three additional one-year terms. The contractor will be paid an hourly rate for their services, and the City will provide fuel, cutting edges, and curb guards. The contractor must respond within two hours of being called by the City's Transportation Maintenance Operations Manager or their designated representative. • The contractor must provide motor graders that meet the City's specifications, including a minimum four-cylinder diesel engine, 85 minimum net horsepower, and a fully enclosed cab with heater, defrosters, and windshield wipers. • The contractor must provide qualified operators who hold a valid Nebraska motor vehicle operator's license and are skilled in operating the contractor's equipment for snow removal purposes. • The contractor must maintain a current contact list of personnel who may be contacted 24/7 via phone, text messaging, and email for operational scheduling. • The contractor must report to the assigned district shop for reassignment or release by the Transportation Maintenance Coordinator or their designee upon completion of snow removal within their assigned district.
