Runway 19L, 28L & 28R Timber Trestle Improvements

The San Francisco International Airport is seeking bids for the improvement of the timber trestles serving Runways 19L, 28L, and 28R. The project aims to implement safety improvements and extend the service life of the trestles by more than 10 years. The work includes the repair and replacement of the timber trestles, as well as the improvement of safe access for maintenance personnel. The project is estimated to cost between $13,500,000 and $15,700,000. The contract duration is 219 consecutive calendar days after the effective date indicated in the Notice to Proceed. • The project requires a California Class A Contractor’s License at the time of bid. • The Local Business Enterprise (LBE) subcontracting requirement is 0%. • The project includes a pre-bid meeting, which is not mandatory but recommended. • Bidders must submit their bids through the Airport's e-Procurement portal, and the bids must be received by the Airport no later than 2:00 pm, Pacific Time, on September 2, 2026. • The contract requires compliance with various regulations, including prevailing wage requirements and labor peace/card check rules. • The project includes a commissioning process, which involves the testing and validation of the systems and equipment to ensure they meet the requirements of the contract documents.
