Guardrail Replacement

The Town of Chittenden is seeking a qualified contractor to replace approximately 390 linear feet of guardrail on three local road segments using funds from a 2026 Small Scale Local Highway Safety Improvement Grant. The work includes removal of existing wooden posts and cable, and installation of new guardrail on Dam Road (total 250 ft split into 110 ft and 140 ft sections), Powerhouse Road (170 ft), and Stoney Hill Road (40 ft). Bids must be submitted by 11/19/2026, and a mandatory site visit is scheduled for 11/2/2026. • Replace 390 ft of guardrail across three road locations (Dam, Powerhouse, Stoney Hill). • Remove existing wooden posts and cable prior to installation. • Work performed in Rutland area, with materials and labor funded by a $14,430 grant. • Mandatory site visit on 11/2/2026 at the Chittenden Town Office. • Bids mailed or emailed to the town office; deadline 11/19/2026 3:30 PM.
