Rural Residency Program Legal Services

The University of New Mexico is seeking one or more law firms to provide a broad range of legal services to support the Office of University Counsel, specifically for the Rural Residency Program. The contract will be a multi‑year agreement (four‑year term) with optional renewals, and the work will be performed on an as‑needed basis. Deliverables include strategic planning, litigation planning, risk analyses, contractual drafting, compliance advice, and regular status reporting. The solicitation emphasizes strict compliance with UNM’s billing, reporting, and confidentiality requirements, as well as a variety of deadlines for planning documents, budgets, and analysis reports. • Provide legal counsel for accreditation, affiliation agreements, and incentive programs related to UNM’s rural residency rotations. • Deliver litigation plans, risk exposure estimates, and narrative risk analyses on defined timelines (e.g., 10‑day initial conference, 6‑month updates, 90‑day pre‑trial analyses). • Submit monthly invoices in LEDES format, adhere to detailed billing guidelines, and maintain required insurance and conflict‑of‑interest certifications.
