Trucking Services - Portsmouth Naval Shipyard

The Portsmouth Naval Shipyard is conducting market research to find potential small businesses that can provide trucking services in support of the nation's Naval mission. The trucking services would be for transportation between Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in Kittery, ME and Naval Base New London in Groton, CT. The period of performance would be from 08/25/2025 to 06/24/2026, with an option to extend from 06/25/2026 to 08/24/2026. The contractor would be responsible for providing a truck with the ability to hold a minimum of six 4'X 4' pallets and up to 12,000 lb, and for performing all maintenance to ensure the truck maintains good working order. Key requirements include: • Providing a truck with the specified capacity • Picking up and delivering loads between Portsmouth Naval Shipyard and Naval Submarine Base New London • Performing all maintenance to ensure the truck maintains good working order • Ensuring access to both Portsmouth Naval Shipyard and Submarine Base New London • Meeting the security requirements of the government installations
