RFP - Seneca Park Zoo – Master Plan Phase 2 – Tropics: Habitat & Theming

The Monroe County Purchasing Department is soliciting proposals for Phase 2 of the Senia Park Zoo Master Plan, specifically focusing on the design, habitat creation, and thematic development of the tropical animal areas. The scope includes conceptual design, detailed engineering, exhibit theming, and integration with existing zoo infrastructure to enhance visitor experience and animal welfare. This project will require interdisciplinary collaboration among architects, exhibit designers, engineers, and thematic specialists. • Develop a comprehensive master plan for tropical habitats, including layout, animal enclosures, and visitor pathways. • Produce detailed architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, and cost estimates. • Design immersive theming and interpretive elements that reflect tropical ecosystems while meeting safety and regulatory standards. • Coordinate with zoo staff and stakeholders to ensure functional integration with current zoo operations. • Deliver a phased implementation schedule and support the county through the bid and award process.
