Description
The Alaska Energy Authority is seeking a prime contractor to upgrade diesel‑engine generator plants in four remote villages (Chuathbaluk, Crooked Creek, Sleetmute, and Stony River). The base‑bid scope includes complete removal of existing gensets, supply and installation of new 65 kW and 100 kW engine‑generator sets, mechanical and electrical system upgrades, snow‑fence installation, testing, commissioning, and operator training. Additive Alternate #1 covers ventilation equipment (radiator dampers, intake dampers, exhaust‑fan assemblies) and its associated removal/re‑connection work. Additive Alternate #2 (Crooked Creek only) provides a full replacement of Generator #3 (mechanical and electrical). The contract is a lump‑sum, single‑bid award with a required 5 % bid bond, 100 % performance and payment bonds, and a one‑year warranty. The project period runs from early August 2026 (material pickup) to mid‑December 2026 (final completion).
