Johnson Center Facility Plan

The University of New Mexico is seeking qualified architecture and planning firms to develop a comprehensive Facility Plan for the Johnson Center (Building 59) and its Seidler Natatorium. The scope includes a full assessment of existing conditions, program‑needs analysis, development of multiple renovation or new‑construction scenarios, cost estimating (ROM), sustainability compliance (LEED Silver), and a detailed implementation schedule. Deliverables consist of a full narrative plan, executive summary, cost spreadsheets, renderings, and source files. The contract value is capped at $200,000 and the work is expected to be completed within 8‑10 months after award. • Perform building‑system and space‑utilization assessments for a 297,000 gsf facility. • Produce up to three planning scenarios (renovation, expansion, or new construction) with cost estimates and sustainability analysis. • Deliver a graphic schedule, stakeholder review plan, and final implementation package. • Provide all required forms (conflict‑of‑interest, insurance, letters of interest/submittal) and optional NM residency certifications for preference points.
