Recreation Independent Contractor Classes

The City of Milpitas is seeking vendors to provide recreation and community services classes in various areas such as arts and music, enrichment, parent and me, sports and fitness, and technology for participants ranging in age from pre-k to seniors. Selected vendors will develop comprehensive curricula, provide professional instructors, and supply class materials as necessary. The City will pre-qualify vendors who can provide recreation and community service classes for the City. Pre-qualified vendors will be contacted by the City prior to each season to submit specific proposals for upcoming seasonal classes. Some key points to consider: • The City reserves the right to approve or reject any class proposal at its sole discretion. • Vendors must maintain current insurance, Milpitas business licenses, California Secretary of State registration, and other relevant compliances. • The City contracts with independent contractors at a rate of 65% of the resident fees collected for classes held at City facilities. • Vendors whose are selected to provided classes for the next season will be required to execute a contract for the chosen classes.
