Description
The City of Los Angeles, through its Fire Department’s Arson Counter‑Terrorism Section, is seeking qualified contractors who hold a certified forensic photographer credential to provide on‑call, as‑needed photographic and video documentation of fire‑ and arson‑related incidents. Contractors must be able to respond within one hour, be available 24/7 (including holidays), and possess the required equipment, certifications, and a clean background. Work is performed at incident scenes across Los Angeles, with all images becoming City property. Compensation is $75/hr (day) or $100/hr (night/holidays) plus $50/hr for administrative processing, capped at $75,000 per 12‑month period. The RFQ is a pre‑qualification process; selected firms will be placed on a qualified list for future call‑outs.
• Minimum 5 years forensic photography experience with law‑enforcement, fire, or military agencies
• Required certifications (e.g., IAI, CCAI, POST)
• Must pass a comprehensive background investigation
• Availability 24/7 with 1‑hour response time
