Household Hazardous Waste Transportation & Disposal Service

The City of Omaha is seeking bids for the removal and disposal of household hazardous waste collected at UnderTheSink. The contract is expected to be a multi-year contract beginning on January 1, 2026, and ending on December 31, 2027, with an option for an additional one-year term. Bidders must submit a bid on a firm line item basis for respective bid items identified in the Bid Form. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Key responsibilities of the contractor include packing and loading of waste materials, transportation to EPA-permitted facilities, incineration or fuel blending, and completion of necessary paperwork and records. • The contractor must have experience in similar projects and provide a list of at least three references. • The contractor must have the necessary permits and licenses to transport, treat, store, or dispose of hazardous waste. • The contractor must comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and safety procedures. • The contractor must provide properly trained employees for the safe handling, transportation, and disposal of hazardous materials. • The contractor must assume complete responsibility for the competency, judgment, and actions of its employees.
