District Attorney's Office Dog

The District Attorney's Office seeks a qualified and accredited canine training organization to provide a fully trained and certified facility, therapy, or courthouse dog for use in a legal office and courtroom environment. The selected provider will be responsible for delivering a dog that meets established professional certification standards and providing comprehensive training for the designated primary dog handler and at least one backup handler. The certified dog-and-handler team will be deployed in trauma-informed settings to support crime victims during interviews, court proceedings, meetings, and community outreach activities. Key requirements include: • Facility, courthouse or therapy dog, fully trained and certified • Training for a primary handler and at least one secondary handler • ADI (Assistance Dogs International) or equivalent accredited program certification • Ongoing training support, handler onboarding, and compliance documentation • Provider background, proposed packages, timeline, support structure, references, and compliance documentation
