RFQ - Solar Photovoltaic and Battery Energy Storage Systems

The Cape Fear Public Utility Authority (CFPUA) is seeking statements of qualifications from consulting engineering firms for the design and contract administration services for a project to install solar photovoltaic and battery energy storage systems at select CFPUA facilities. The project aims to qualify for the federal Investment Tax Credit (ITC) and Clean Energy elective pay mechanism. The selected firm will be responsible for evaluating and designing solar PV and battery system sizing, developing contract drawings and technical specifications, obtaining necessary permits, and providing construction administration and observation-based services. • The project will consist of installing ground-mounted solar photovoltaic systems and battery energy storage systems at select CFPUA facilities. • The selected firm will be expected to complete final plans and specifications in accordance with the project schedule. • The firm must demonstrate their level of competence and qualification, and each sub-consultant's level of competence and qualification, with respect to the listed evaluation factors. • The firm must meet the insurance requirements, including general liability, workers' compensation, auto liability, and professional liability.
