60--YELL FIBER BROADBAND TO GRANT

The National Park Service is seeking a provider to deliver broadband internet services and dark fiber connections to support local area networks at designated locations within Yellowstone National Park. The selected provider must install several miles of underground fiber optic connections, extending from a common demarcation point to specific NPS facilities, to support these services. Key aspects of the project include: * Installing fiber optic cable connections to various NPS buildings and facilities * Providing internet services, including business class and residential internet access * Ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and park rules * Coordinating with park staff and visitors to minimize disruptions * Implementing erosion control measures and restoring disturbed areas * Providing a plan for maintenance, vegetation management, and other work activities * Ensuring compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act, the National Historic Preservation Act, and other applicable laws and regulations. Some of the specific tasks and requirements include: * Installing direct buried single-mode fiber optic cable * Excavating trenches by hand or mechanical trenching equipment * Obtaining a right of way permit prior to beginning work * Providing a plan for maintenance, vegetation management, and other work activities * Ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and park rules * Coordinating with park staff and visitors to minimize disruptions * Implementing erosion control measures and restoring disturbed areas
