Congregate and Home Delivered Meals for the City-County Nutrition Program

The El Paso County is seeking a vendor to provide congregate and home-delivered meals for the City-County Nutrition Program. The program provides meals to individuals aged 60 and older and people with disabilities. The vendor will be responsible for preparing, packaging, and delivering meals to congregate centers and homebound individuals. The contract will be for an initial period of two years with three two-year renewal options. The vendor must comply with all applicable regulations and standards, including the Older Americans Act and the Texas Administrative Code. • The program serves approximately 1,500 congregate participants and 2,500 home-delivered meal participants. • Meals must meet the nutritional requirements specified by the Older Americans Act and the Dietary Guidelines for Americans. • The vendor must provide a five-week cycle menu and attend quarterly menu meetings with the City-County Nutrition Program staff. • The vendor must also provide staff for the congregate meals at all locations and ensure that all drivers possess and maintain a valid State of Texas driver's license.
