Certification Regarding Prohibition Against Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Training

Pinellas County is requiring all current and future contractors to certify that they will not use county funds to require any employee, subcontractor, volunteer, vendor, or agent to engage with diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) training or materials, as mandated by Florida Statute §287.139 effective January 1, 2027. Vendors must download the certification form, complete it, and submit it electronically by the deadline. This is an informal solicitation intended to ensure compliance with the new state law; no specific services are being procured beyond the certification itself. • Mandatory certification for any contract entered into on or after Jan 1 2027. • Submission deadline: Jan 31 2027, 11:55 pm via the county’s procurement portal. • No monetary award; the “project” is the provision of a signed compliance certificate. • Primary contact: Merry Celeste, Division Director, Purchasing Office of Management and Budget. • Applicable to all vendors doing business with Pinellas County, regardless of industry.
