Murray Tower Comprehensive Rehabilitation – General Construction (REBID)

The Housing Authority of the City of Pittsburgh is rebidding the full rehabilitation of the eight‑story, 67‑unit Murray Tower public‑housing building. The scope covers complete general construction, including interior demolition, asbestos‑containing material abatement, concrete and masonry repairs, exterior envelope work (parking lot milling/resurfacing, retaining wall and curb work), installation of new windows, doors, fire‑rated assemblies, full mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire‑protection systems, accessibility upgrades, and site‑improvement activities such as landscaping and curb upgrades. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, with mandatory MBE (18 %) and WBE (7 %) participation, HUD Section 3 resident‑labor requirements, prevailing‑wage compliance, and a 100 % performance and payment bond. The contractor must achieve substantial completion within 545 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed.
