Background Investigations

The City of Sandy is seeking a vendor to provide background investigations for its volunteer youth athletic coaches. The selected vendor will be required to process between 600-800 applications annually, and the contract will be for one year with the option to be extended for three additional 12-month periods. The vendor must be able to provide a range of services, including validation of volunteer identity and address, Utah and national sex offender registry searches, state and county criminal record checks, and national criminal data base searches. The vendor must also be able to provide secure online application processing capabilities and comply with all applicable laws and regulations. • The vendor must be PBSA certified and have direct integration with the State of Utah database. • The vendor must be able to provide timely results, with an average turnaround time of 2 business days or less. • The vendor must be able to provide a secure online application processing capability. • The vendor must be able to provide evidence of ability to obtain a certificate of appropriate insurance that meets Sandy City’s requirements. • The vendor must have company controls in place to ensure the privacy of applicants.
