The Town of Westerly/Westerly Public Schools is seeking a qualified and experienced drone light show vendor to design, produce, and execute a choreographed drone light show to conclude a community event at the Westerly High School Quad on May 2, 2026. The selected contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, software, permits, and coordination necessary to successfully deliver the drone show. The proposal should include a plan for the proposed content, a statement of qualifications and relevant experience, sample work or past project examples, and all-inclusive costs for a range of show sizes. • The drone show should be a custom, fully choreographed show appropriate for a civic celebration. • The show should incorporate thematic elements representing the United States 250th anniversary/semiquincentennial. • The contractor should provide a minimum drone count to achieve high-visibility effects for a large outdoor audience. • The drones should be equipped with high-visibility LED lighting suitable for nighttime viewing. • The contractor should provide for a number of the drones to have pyrotechnic capabilities. • The contractor should program and execute a synchronized drone flight lasting at least 15 minutes. • The contractor should conduct a site assessment to determine launch, landing, and safety buffer zones. • The contractor should coordinate with Town staff regarding park access, load-in/load-out schedules, and integration with the event timeline.
