Concept Feasibility Study, Fairfax Circle

The City of Fairfax is seeking a qualified planning and engineering architecture/engineering firm to conduct an alternatives evaluation and develop a recommended concept plan for the Fairfax Circle intersection and related transportation improvements. The effort will support the Fairfax Circle Activity Center’s transformation into a mixed‑use, walkable gateway, addressing current operational and safety deficiencies while accommodating multimodal travel. This study will culminate in a concept plan that guides future design and implementation phases. • Conduct a comprehensive alternatives analysis for the Fairfax Circle intersection (Routes 29/50, Fairfax Blvd, Blenheim Blvd). • Develop a recommended concept plan that integrates multimodal transportation, safety enhancements, and mixed‑use development goals. • Deliver detailed documentation, drawings, and recommendations to inform subsequent detailed design and construction phases.
