Substation Transformer Maintenance & Repair Services

The City of Ames Electric Services Department is seeking bids from qualified vendors for substation transformer maintenance and repair services, specifically for DA6T2 Load Tap Changer (LTC) repair and "U" bushing replacement. The work is scheduled to take place during the months of May-June or September-November of 2026. The contractor will be responsible for providing labor, parts, and equipment to perform the scope of work, which includes pre-testing, inspection, replacement of components, re-gasketing, and post-testing.
