Professional Services - Architectural and Engineering Services

The City of Colonial Heights is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide Professional Architectural and Engineering Services on an as-required basis. The selected firm will provide services including site and building planning, programming of space needs, space planning, building and landscape architecture, interior design, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, civil, design of roof repairs and/or replacements, life-cycle costing, energy modeling, and any surveying or related services. The firm will work with the City to determine the scope and negotiate the fee for each individual project. The contract will be awarded for a one-year period with the option to extend for up to three additional one-year terms. • The firm will provide professional services for various projects, including new construction, renovations, and additions to existing buildings. • The firm will work with the City to determine the scope and negotiate the fee for each individual project. • The firm will provide all necessary documents, plans, and design data for each project. • The firm will conduct periodic progress meetings with the City and provide assurance that the completed project will conform to the contract. • The firm will review and approve shop drawings, test results, and other data submitted by the contractor. • The firm will issue instructions to the contractor and prepare change orders as required by the City.
